Head of Administration and Finance
Samantha is the Senior Administrator at the DTC, responsible for the administrative management of the Centre, including the programmes, finances and building facilities. She leads the administration team and is Disability and Harassment Advisor for the Centre. Samantha worked for the University for a number of years prior to joining the DTC, primarily in the area of Graduate Admissions.
Judith has recently joined the DTP having previously been the administrative assistant for the DTC for the past 12Â months. Before joining the DTC, she worked for the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics for several years in various roles, and brings a strong organisational background to the role.

Programme Manager
Tracey joined the Conway group as Programme Manager to the EPSRC redOx⇌KCL and the Wellcome Trust Chemistry in Cells DPhil programmes in January 2020. Previously she was programme manager for OxStem-funded research programmes in the labs of Professor Angela Russell. Tracey joined the Department of Chemistry in 2013 as a project manager/administrator for the European-FP7-funded Innovative Doctoral Programme (IDP) entitled 'Oxford Innovative Organic Synthesis for Cancer Research (OxIOSCR)' with Professors Jeremy Robertson, Angela Russell, Tim Donohoe and David Hodgson. Previously she worked as a business planning consultant for new and young businesses and had established Communities in Business Ltd to deliver business education and training and to support community enterprises. Tracey completed her PhD in 2003 under the supervision of Professor Susan Brooks at Oxford Brookes University to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the aberrant synthesis of N-acetyl-galactosaminylated glycoproteins in metastatic breast cancer cells.
Programme Manager
DTP in Environmental Research
I am the administrative lead of the DTP and have been programme manager since 2014. I am responsible for the day to day delivery of the programme and am also the welfare and disability officer. I have a keen interest in supporting students throughout their time with us and helping them to resolve difficulties they encounter along the way. I work closely with the finance and administrative officer Christa Muller, as well as the wider staff of the Doctoral Training Centre.

Melanie Witt, SABS CDT Programme Manager and Deputy Head of Administration and Finance
Melanie joined the DTC in July 2023 after working for several years as the administrator for the EPSRC CDT in Mathematics of Random Systems. Prior to this Melanie was an administrator for the Oxford Parkinson’s Disease Centre and Alzheimer’s Research UK Thames Valley Network and Richard Wade-Martin’s lab. She originally joined the university with the Department of Earth Sciences as a post-doctoral researcher investigating volcanoes as a source of mercury.

Sophie joined the DTC team in August 2014 as the Programme Administrator for the Synthetic Biology CDT which has now finished. She has been running the Biomedical Imaging CDT for the past 4 years.
Sophie has been involved with the setting up of Intelligent Earth CDT since the award at the end of Oct 2023.She is responsible for the overall administration and finance of the Intelligent Earth CDT
Prior to starting at the DTC Sophie worked at The Said Business School for 4 years as a programme Administrator for their Executive Education programmes .Â
Tanya Gujral, Programme Manager for the Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship:Tanya manages the newly established Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, and joined the DTC in May 2023.
Tanya has worked for the University for six years, including roles as a Research Project Administrator and Executive Assistant at the Department of Physics, and as a Programme Administrator at the Said Business School. tayna.gujral@dtc.ox.ac.uk
Nina joined the DTC as the Administrative Assistant in October 2015 and is now, as an administrative officer, assisting with the day to day running of the DTP Programme. Before working at the DTC, Nina worked in the Registry of the Department for Continuing Education.
Daniel joined the DTC in September 2023 as Casual Payroll Officer providing casual payroll management for visiting lecturers and students taking part in demonstrations and general office duties. The role later evolved to include more finance, especially on the NERC programme. daniel.jamali@dtc.ox.ac.uk
Suza Frank, Finance Co-ordinator: Suza oversees the finance function within the DTC, having joined in January 2022. Her role includes preparing the DTC’s annual budget, ensuring the finances are correctly recorded against the budget, and co-ordinating the payment of quarterly stipends. Suza has worked at the University since 2007 as the finance lead in several different departments. Her time is split between the DTC and the MPLS Divisional Office. Suza.frank@admin.ox.ac.uk
Anthi joined the DTC in June 2021 and is responsible for supporting all key administrative and finance aspects of the Doctoral Training Centre activities.
