Head of Administration and Finance

Samantha is the Senior Administrator at the DTC, responsible for the administrative management of the Centre, including the programmes, finances and building facilities. She leads the administration team and is Disability and Harassment Advisor for the Centre. Samantha worked for the University for a number of years prior to joining the DTC, primarily in the area of Graduate Admissions.

Judith Bishop

Judith has recently joined the DTP having previously been the administrative assistant for the DTC for the past 12 months. Before joining the DTC, she worked for the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics for several years in various roles, and brings a strong organisational background to the role.

Programme Manager

Tracey joined the Conway group as Programme Manager to the EPSRC redOx⇌KCL and the Wellcome Trust Chemistry in Cells DPhil programmes in January 2020. Previously she was programme manager for OxStem-funded research programmes in the labs of Professor Angela Russell. Tracey joined the Department of Chemistry in 2013 as a project manager/administrator for the European-FP7-funded Innovative Doctoral Programme (IDP) entitled 'Oxford Innovative Organic Synthesis for Cancer Research (OxIOSCR)' with Professors Jeremy Robertson, Angela Russell, Tim Donohoe and David Hodgson. Previously she worked as a business planning consultant for new and young businesses and had established Communities in Business Ltd to deliver business education and training and to support community enterprises. Tracey completed her PhD in 2003 under the supervision of Professor Susan Brooks at Oxford Brookes University to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the aberrant synthesis of N-acetyl-galactosaminylated glycoproteins in metastatic breast cancer cells.

Programme Manager

DTP in Environmental Research

I am the administrative lead of the DTP and have been programme manager since 2014.  I am responsible for the day to day delivery of the programme and am also the welfare and disability officer.  I have a keen interest in supporting students throughout their time with us and helping them to resolve difficulties they encounter along the way.  I work closely with the finance and administrative officer Christa Muller, as well as the wider staff of the Doctoral Training Centre.

Katherine Baysan Portrait Photo

Katherine’s most recent roles have been in Admissions and Outreach at Corpus Christi College, and the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. Having moved from Glasgow in 2017 she has worked at Oxford since.

As SABS Programme Manager, Katherine is responsible for SABS-specific administration (including the project process, industrial liaison and monitoring of IP regulations, etc.).

Joined the team in August 2014 and is responsible for the day to day administration of the Synthetic Biology programme. Prior to starting at the DTC Sophie worked at The Said Business School for 4 years as a programme Administrator for their Executive Education programmes . She works part time Monday-Thursday.

Programme Administrator

Kate joined Stuart's team in September 2020 and alongside supporting him as his PA, is responsible for the day to day administration of the Conway Group, the Wellcome Trust Chemistry in Cells DPhil programme and the EPSRC redOx⇌KCL programme grant. Prior to joining the Department of Chemistry, Kate worked at the Oxford Internet Institute as Professor Helen Margetts OBE’s Executive Assistant. Prior to that she was the Practice Manager at Figure Ground Consulting for 13 years. She has a degree in Art History and Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University.

Nina joined the DTC as the Administrative Assistant in October 2015 and is now, as an administrative officer, assisting with the day to day running of the DTP Programme. Before working at the DTC, Nina worked in the Registry of the Department for Continuing Education.

Anthi joined the DTC in June 2021 and is responsible for supporting all key administrative and finance aspects of the Doctoral Training Centre activities.

Eoin comes from a research background with an interest in algorithm optimisation for hardware implementations. Having worked at the New York Stock Exchange, APT (Audio Processing Technology), Queen’s University and the University of Ulster, Eoin is now responsible for the smooth running of the staff and student computer systems at the DTC.

Harrison comes from a networking background, having worked for a number of years as a 3rd party support engineer for many colleges and departments across the University of Oxford. He joined the IT department at the DTC in early 2018 and works with Eoin to make sure the staff & computer systems are running smoothly on a daily basis.
