Graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Materials Chemistry in May 2017. My undergraduate research project was carried out in computational chemistry supervised by Professor Simon Parsons. We tried to develop a desktop method to calculate intermolecular energies in organic crystals by incorporating Density Functional Tight Binding (DFTB) into the PIXEL method.
Innovative approaches to crystallography and in particular the rise of machine learning / deep learning in crystallography.
Will complete an 11-week short project in Professor Richard Cooper's group in crystallisability.
