I am principally interested in the development of single molecule microscopy techniques and their application to biological systems. During my Masters year I worked to optimise and then implement an assay for use with iSCAT microscopy; which enabled single subunit addition to a growing actin filament to be observed for the first time.
Outside of academia I am principally interested in rock climbing and am currently on the Oxford University Mountaineering Club committee.
