Research Experience

Research assistant in Prof. Ken Shirasu's lab at Riken, Japan

Investigated the signalling mechanism between parasitc plants and their host, which induces haustorium formation.

Undergraduate final year project in Prof. Julian Hibberd's lab

Studied the bundle sheath preferential expression of Arabidopsis MYB76, and provided insight into its developmental regulation.

Summer student in Prof. Elliot Meyerowitz's lab at The Sainsbury Laboratory, Cambridge

Cloned the Arabidopsis ALF4 gene and built numerous constructs to study the role of this gene in graft formation. Supervised by Dr Charles Melnyk.
