Background

Research Interests

Evolutionary ecology
I encompass curiosity over a wide range of ecological and evolutionary problems. My research interest focuses on how they are linked to drive the ancient and current biodiversificaiton processes, especially the ecological driving forces in plant biodiversity.

Conservation genetics
As human population rises drastically, conservation management and strategies of natural resources is deemed more difficult. I am interested in how genetic tools such as DNA barcoding, genomics and forensics could be exploited to tackle the current knowledge gaps in an data-driven approach.

Urban ecology
The ecology in urban setting is often alienated and less studied. I am interested in how the natural communities coexist with human population under strong disturbance.
