After completing courses at the DTC I worked on two research projects, 3-months long each.
First research project I completed at the Oxford Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME). I was working on automatic segmentation of left ventricle of the heart in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy using convolutional neural networks. The project was supervised by professor Vicente Grau.
Second research project I was developing at FMRIB (Oxford Centre for Functional MRI of the Brain) in Analysis group. The project focused on introducing longitudinal information to Multiple Sclerosis lesion segmentation using multimodal MRI data. The project was supervised by professor Mark Jenkinson with support of Dr Jacqueline Palace.
My DPhil project (started in October 2016) is currently a continuation of my second short project.
