Background

Studying an Open University course in Human Genetics, inspired me to study Genetics at Degree level. During my degree (Genetics BSc, First) I found that I was particularly interested in control of DNA, at both a global genome dynamics, and individual gene regulation level.

I am currently working as a PhD student in interdisciplinary bioscience in Oxford. I want to pursue a PhD where I can develop my genetic interests; studying genetic control, organisation and regulation, essentially looking at key processes at a mechanistic, reductionist level. I enjoy learning and hope to continue to learn and contribute to existing knowledge in the future.
