Current Research Focus

Predicting the Optimal Chimeric Antigen Receptor Design

I am systematically studying T cell activation through different chimeric antigen receptors in response to antigens of various affinities and concentrations. The aim of this project is to develop a mathematical model that can simulate T cell activation through Chimeric Antigen Receptors and provide a tool to predict design improvements.

A Comprehensive Systems Model of T Cell Costimulation

In this project, I am investigating signal integration between the T cell receptor and the costimulatory receptors CD2, CD6 and CD28 using a combination of quantitative T cell stimulation experiments and mathematical modelling. This work forms part of a bigger ongoing project in the lab that aims to systematically investigate the quantitative role played by a broad range of costimulatory and inhibitory receptors on T cells.
