Born in England, but raised in Cape Town, South Africa, I completed my undergraduate and first research degrees in Applied Mathematics at the University of Cape Town. I am currently studying towards a DPhil at the Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) in the Life Sciences Interface at the University of Oxford where my broad interests are computational biology and scientific software engineering. I am particularly interested in estimating the uncertainty of mathematical models at a number of levels so as to enhance and promote their use in understanding biological phenomena.
Over the course of my studies I have acquired a wide range of mathematical and computational skills including:Over the next year (2012/2013) at the DTC I will be attending courses to provide a more comprehensive biological understanding to his work, while also selecting a research topic for his DPhil.
