1 year research attachment at the Singapore Institute of Clinical Sciences 2011-2012, where I did a project on PID1, a protein which is involved in the development of insulin resistance with Assoc. Prof. Ravi Kambadur. Mainly performed experiments involving molecular biology techniques as well as human muscle cell culture.
Completed a 3 month long final year project at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge in 2011 in the use of chimeric compounds derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine herbs on the proliferation of Human Vascular Endothelial Cells under Dr. Tai-Ping Fan.
8 week research attachment at the Genome Institute of Singapore in 2009 under Dr Lim Bing working on Embryonic Stem Cells.
8 month internship at the Institute of Medical Biology, Singapore under Dr Boontin Chua working in the Singapore Oncogenome Project on tyrosine kinases and their role in cell signalling.
