Born and raised in Malaysia, I obtained my B.Eng in Electronics Engineering from Multimedia University in 2010, where my final year project focused on enhacing detection of early infarct from CT scans. I then did the MSc. Biomedical Engineering at Oxford University with a summer project on identifing the optimum formulation for the lyophilization of an antibody drug using Design of Experiments (DoE) methods, supervised by Dr Heiko Shiffter.
I have just completed my DPhil. at the Structural Genomics Consortium
, trying to "save the world" by assessing the crystallizability of a protein given its precipitation behaviour (by means of optical images) in a fixed set of chemical conditions. The project mainly involves the application of machine vision, pattern recognition and machine learning, as well as data mining in the field of macromolecular crystallization.
Moving on with something a little different at BCG, Kuala Lumpur, I look forward to marrying the technical expertise and knowledge acquired over the past years to the projects that come by.
